1. About ProofID
roofID is a document integrity tool that generates a digital fingerprint (ProofID) for files and allows users to verify whether a newly uploaded file matches a previously registered fingerprint.
We do not store user documents.
2. Use of the Service
You may use ProofID only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
-misuse the platform or attempt to break its functionality
-upload harmful or malicious files
-falsely represent ownership of documents
-interfere with the service or other users
We reserve the right to suspend access if we detect abusive behavior.
3. Document Registration
When you register a document:
ProofID generates a digital fingerprint based on the file you upload.
Only the fingerprint, timestamp, ProofID, and creator identity are stored.
The file itself is never stored on our servers
Users are responsible for ensuring:
they have the rights to upload and register the document
the document is correct and final before registration
4. Document Verification
Verification compares the fingerprint of an uploaded file with existing records.
Verification can confirm:
the file matches a previously registered version
who registered the document
when it was registered
Verification cannot confirm:
whether an unregistered document has been modified
the authenticity of a document that was never registered
the identity of users outside your organization
5. No Legal or Professional Advice
ProofID does not provide legal, compliance, or regulatory advice.
Verification results should be used as supporting material, not as a sole basis for decisions in legal or professional contexts.
6. Availability of Service
We aim to keep ProofID online and functioning at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
We may update, pause, or modify the platform at any time.
7. Accounts & Access (if applicable in future)
In the future, we may require accounts for organizations or users.
If applicable, users must keep their login credentials secure.
8. Limitation of Liability
ProofID is provided “as is”.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProofID is not liable for:
-losses caused by reliance on verification results
-incorrect document uploads
-missing or deleted records
-user errors or misuse
-indirect or consequential damages
Your use of ProofID is at your own responsibility.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally.
By continuing to use the service, you accept the updated Terms.
